November 25, 1997 Letter to James Dobson
Dear Doctor Dobson,
I just completed reading an E-mail transcript of Alan Keyes' heartbreaking speech at your convention for physicians' families. How grievous to hear the very things which we dreaded, but, along with Francis Schaefer, knew would be coming into prominence one day, in the wake of the legal "right" to abort one's children. To hear that debate is being stirred up in an effort to justify the unspeakable evil of killing one's newborn baby should shock us to our very innermost beings. And yet, the fear is there - that this next demonic plan will have little resistance, because of the rationale already bought into concerning its dark sister, legalized abortion.
These issues will not just go away; we are compelled to remember "who Caesar Is," to be actively vocal in persuading those who are really wanting to pursue truth, even at the cost of being thought unloving, unmerciful and out-of-sync with the progression of our "enlightened" society. God bless you very much for your work. I am thanking the Lord for your willingness to stand up for the timeless values given to us by our Creator.
In Christ,
