The probability of having AIDS is approximately 5-7% for most gay men, and about 2% for Asian gay men.
The probability for heterosexual men who don't use IV drugs, or have sex with IV drug users is about 1 in 1000 for Blacks, 1 in 8000 for Whites, and 1 in 16,000 for Asians.
Gay White men are therefore 300 times more likely to contract AIDS than heterosexual men. The ratio for Blacks is about 100 to 1.
