DEFEAT OF INITIATIVE 677 A VICTORY FOR THE PEOPLE
CURRENT POLICIES STILL VIOLATE CIVIL RIGHTS

Kirkland, WA—Ever since the OK Boy's Ranch scandal rocked Washington with revelations of preferential treatment (failure to prosecute) for homosexual abuse of children in the state's 'care,' Washingtonians have become increasingly suspicious over the official government policies which favor "sexual minorities."

In a statement released early today, Washington for Traditional Values Coalition Vice President Sidney Turbyfill stated, I am very pleased with the fact that years of speaking out, exposing the tragic consequences of caving in to sexual "minority" lobbyists' demands for special policy considerations in the government workplace, have paid off in this victory for THE PEOPLE. Washington voters came to the polls and just said "NOPE" to what amounted to yet another attempt by the already powerful bisexual, transsexual, lesbian, et al. activist community to grab even more political leverage at the expense of everyone else's workplace freedoms.

Referring to current preferential rules in state agencies, like the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), Turbyfill said, While Washingtonians strongly agree that the so-called "sexual minorities" already have sufficient opportunity to pursue the American Dream without our government intruding on public agencies and private businesses, we need to shed still more light on the maddening, unintended consequences of current pro-sexual "minority" policies in DSHS and other state and municipal government bodies. I am convinced that the average citizen at-large in Washington has no earthly idea how far current policies go to promote bisexuals, lesbians and the like -- turning over significant activities and programs where their ideas and philosophies virtually rule supreme.

Hoping for continued cooperative efforts that build on the collaborations of this victory, Turbyfill said, The defeat of Initiative 677 proves that traditionalists can mount a robust defense of their moral freedoms. While we have the organization, we should press the offensive to stop the now unimpeded advance of sexual "minority" politics and reverse the trend. Additionally, he said, For our part, Washington for Traditional Values Coalition will be stepping up our researching, reporting on and advocating for the perpetual stream of complainants who are victims of governmental and private business policies of preference for bisexuals, lesbians, homosexuals and others of a "not traditional" sexual orientation. What proponents of special government preferences for "sexual minorities" fail to accept responsibility for, are the many victims of civil rights violations that their promotion of "sexual minority" activism in the workplace has already produced. Only THE PEOPLE are capable of bringing an end to those programs of preference. With the defeat of Initiative 677, it appears they are ready to begin.
