Precisely my point. Disregarding the sophomoric reasoning and name-calling in this person's note, there is a real danger that those wishing to impose their pro-homosexual morality on our culture by pushing their private practices into public policies we must obey will, if they succeed, strip away our freedoms of speech and association.

Big Brother will then be watching individuals, organizations, business owners, churches, synagogues and educational institutions to verify that they are not committing 'crimes' of homophobia (such as daring to state that aberrant sexual practices have serious medical and sociological consequences, or challenging the foolish notion that claimed sexual behaviors qualify for "civil rights" legislation and "affirmative action" hiring practices).

It is significant that early drafts of ENDA legislation (pro-homosexual "employment non-discrimination acts") at state and federal levels would have forced religious and youth organizations to hire self-proclaimed homosexuals. Oh, it was just an oversight? Right.

Those of us who monitor, expose and oppose such attempts to legislate morality - and trample our firmly held beliefs, formerly assumed to be safe under the 1st Amendment - were not the least bit surprised when the much-hyped "Ellen" self-outing on TV was accompanied by heartstring-plucking "employment discrimination" spots during commercial breaks by the pro-homosexual "Human Rights Campaign." We expected the in-your-face homosexual lobby to make as much political hay as possible.

When we object to and resist the aggressive homosexual political agenda, we are attacked and our willingness to resist is called - horrors - "divisive." That's O.K., we can take it. And we will not stop resisting the efforts of homosexual activists who, we know by experience, will never be satisfied with succeeding levels of manipulative political power.

Myers and friends are welcome to launch all the attacks they want. They are powerless to stop the truth from getting out.

Sincerely,

Robert R. Larimer Jr.
