Clinton sell-out of his Democrat "values"

To the Editor:

Editor David Hawpe chastises Bill Clinton regarding his sell-out of Democrat "values" such as welfare and his betrayal of pro-homosexual special interests. At this point in his career, however, no one should expect "The Man From Hype" to be consistent on anything.

Hawpe, who seeks total "equality" no matter how much special interest pandering is involved, should actually be an admirer of Clinton's, since the President is an equal-opportunity betrayer. There is no one Clinton will not lie to or desert if he thinks he can profit from it.

Mr. Hawpe is wrong to pedal the notion that same-sex "matrimony" is a benign equivalent of heterosexual marriage. Continuous capitulation to special interest demands - aided by fawning media - has resulted in a protective, pro-homosexual culture in many government agencies.

The Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) in the state of Washington recently created a policy - finessed behind the scenes - by which the state actively recruits adult homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders to enter DSHS Juvenile Rehabilitation facilities and counsel or "mentor" other peoples' minor children. They "help" these children deal with their "emerging feelings and sexual orientation," and aid them in "transitioning" into communities where they can "establish alternative lifestyles." Our citizens were never allowed to vote on this policy.

Now people in our state find that once again, because of pro-homosexual special interests, activists are attempting to dictate significant public policy changes - from as far out of state as Hawaii.

Is this democratic, and does anyone in Kentucky really believe that aggressive, pro-homosexual strategists will ever be content with successive levels of manipulative power?

Sincerely:

Robert R. Larimer Jr.
