WTV Interviewed on Range of Issues.
KOIN TV, Channel 6 (CBS affiliate) Aired Thursday Night.

Washington for Traditional Values Chairman, Bob Larimer was interviewed Thursday afternoon by Portland's KOIN TV on same-sex marriage issue, legislative activity in Washington State, New Governor Gary Locke, etc.

Questions about Bob's continuing letter dual in Vancouver, Washington's local newspaper with homosexual activist and Vancouver City Councilman Jim Moeller emerged again. Mr. Moeller, the reporter said, claims to be oppressed.

Bob's response?

I said, let's look at the facts: Jim Moeller has been elected to an important public office by his community. How is he oppressed? State Representative Ed Murray has been elected to important state office by his community. How is he oppressed? Barney Frank has been elected to important national office by his constituents. How is he oppressed? President Clinton has taken great care to fill the White House with openly homosexual and lesbian staffers. How are they oppressed? The truth is, they are not oppressed at all. They enjoy all the rights and privileges of American citizenship that the rest of us do. Their very successes prove that they are fully included in society and public life.

Went on to talk about alternating tactics of special pleading (we're oppressed) and bullying (Mr. Businessman, agree with us and support us or we'll boycott you and sue you).
