Out of Parish Opportunity

Rose Haven
Rose Haven is a day shelter and safe community for women and children in crisis and transition. We rely on the support of our community for money and in-kind donations to help us provide the most basic of needs for this vulnerable group of people. More than 100 women come to our location each week for assistance and a safe place to be for a few hours. The Bouquet of Hope is our annual fundraiser. I know many of your parishes support our shop with clothing and hygiene and this is another way to get involved. If you have any questions feel free to give me or Sister Cathie Boerbom, our Executive Director, a call (her extension is 306). Thank you! Ellen Lubrano, Volunteer Coordinator, 503-248-6364, ext. 305 or 503-784-6192 (cell)
Other6.com – the missing piece in your daily search for God.
Some of us find God at Church on Sundays, but finding God the other six days of the week can be a puzzle. Other6.com is a community of people answering two simple yet profound questions: Where have you found God today? And Where do you need to find God today? Other6.com, brought to you by Loyola Press, a Jesuit Ministry, is based on “examination of consciousness” – a prayerful review of the day intended to help us recognize God in our daily routines.
Our prayer is that you will find www.other6.com helpful in your desire for a closer relationship with God. Join us today; you’ll be glad you did.
