Completely clean with a hollow tube running lengthwise that looks like a haloed sword-blade when backlit. I, told that the miner who found it thought that it was an off- colored Tanzanite and had to be convinced otherwise.

A glassy octahedron that appears black due to the carbon inclusions but shows itself to be colorless when backlit with the inclusions. One point is split so it looks like a fishtail. Killer specimen!
