It’s hard to show how big the Spruce Goose is. Although the museum building is huge, the HK-1 is nearly as long as the building is deep and the wing span is at least as wide as the front windows (see the photo below). It is impossible to get a photo of the entire HK-1 inside the building.

 

 

The HK-1 sits in the building with the nose about 10 to 15 feet from the front glass wall. It is very imposing.
