Howard has practiced in Seattle since 1987, first with his own firm of Bundy and Morrill, Inc., P.S., and then with Gordon Thomas Honeywell, LLP, until joining Simburg, Ketter in 2010. Howard's practice focuses on commercial litigation with an emphasis on franchise law issues and representation of owners of closely held businesses. He is a frequent presenter and faculty member for programs on franchise law, including “Unintentional Franchising”, Tacoma –Pierce County Bar Association (2008), “Franchise Law/Accidental Franchising”, Washington and Oregon CLE Forum (2007 and 2008), “Franchising in Washington: the 1991 Amendments”, Washington State Bar Association (1992).
Howard serves as Editor of the Franchise Law Section of the Washington Lawyers Practice Manual, and also authored "The Unintentional Franchise", Washington State Bar News, March, 2003. He has discussed franchise law issues as a guest on local radio and television.
Howard is a member of the American Bar Association (Litigation Section and Forum on Franchising), the American Franchisee Association, and the King County Bar Association. In his spare time he serves as a volunteer basketball coach for the Seattle Parks Department.
