The Bronze Saga |
Welcome to my writing website.
My name is Mark Evan Eidemiller. I've been writing
Christian fiction for over ten years. My first commercial novel, "As
Iron Sharpens Iron" was published in 2010, and is sold exclusively for
the Kindle through Amazon.com. In addition, I've written several Christian
Fan Fiction novels in the series "The Bronze Saga"; these books are
free for downloading.

"In a time when the world needed heroes, God gathered a group of individuals together, pointed them towards the Arctic, and sent them on a quest that would shake the foundation of their faith, and either forge them into a team … or destroy them."

A Fantastic Adventure!!, June 10, 2011 (5 out of 5 stars)
If, like me, you have a love of the "Pulp" novels from back in the 1930's and 1940's (Doc Savage, The Shadow, The Spider, and more) you'll find "As Iron Sharpens Iron" an eminently enjoyable read. The author cut his "writing" teeth while crafting over a half-dozen full-fledged novels in the "fan-fiction" realm of the Internet, all to rave reviews. This tale - his first completely original work - is a rip-roaring adventure written in the style of those great Pulp fiction tales, and is the "pilot episode" in what I expect to be a long series of fantastic tales.
A group of widely diverse individuals are all mysteriously drawn to an aging cargo vessel docked in a Pacific seaport. Following clues left in centuries-old maps, they set off for the Arctic in search of a fabled treasure. They face numerous perils along the way, not the least of which is coming to accept each other and work together as one crew, but the reward turns out to be one that is beyond their wildest dreams - in more ways than one.
And, of course (in the tradition of all the great Pulp series) just when they think they're safe and sound and set for life, well, that's when things get REALLY interesting, and the "danger-meter" leaps upward by a factor of ten!
The characters are so well-crafted that it's easy to picture them in your mind's eye. The writing is top-notch, and keeps you in suspense from page to page. And, if you love to try and solve the mystery before the novel's hero, there are just enough clues dropped to get you going, but Mark never totally tips his hand, and so the ending will still catch you by surprise. If you're looking for something new and different to read at the beach or by the pool, or wherever, this is a tale you'll want to add to your collection! I promise, you won't be disappointed!
An enjoyable and interesting ride!, August 14, 2011 (5 out of 5 stars)
And now for something completely different. I just finished reading Mark Eidemiller's unique novel, As Iron Sharpens Iron, and confess that I found it to be an enjoyable and interesting ride. This is a fabulous story that could be enjoyed by both adults and young adults alike. In the first novel (in what I hope will be an ongoing series) we are introduced to a group of diverse characters who assemble on a quest of faith, with secret hidden pasts that can either bring them closer together or tear the group apart. There are also several unexpected surprise guest-stars that brought a smile to my lips as I read. Eidemiller includes many interesting historic events and facts littered throughout the story and offers an ending that hints at even greater things to come.
